Jewish heritage Tour Kyiv — Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky — Zhytomyr — Berdichev — Vinnytsa — Lviv — Chernivtsi (8 days, 7 nights)
Day 2: Kyiv Breakfast. Panoramic city tour in the capital of Ukraine and the cradle of Eastern Slavonic states. The tour includes Golden Gates and Vladimir’s hill, which is supposed to be the place of foundation of Kyiv-city, Bogdan Khmelnitsky Monument, National Opera and Ballet Theater, St. Vladimir’s Cathedral – a splendid architectural pearl, with beautiful paintings of V. Vasnetsov and St. Michael’s Golden Domed Monastery founded in 1108, Kyiv Founders’ Monument, Khreschatyk Avenue, Independence Square - the scene of many notable events in the capital city of Ukraine. Visiting the main places where jewish culture and history have put a mark on Ukrainian history: Babyn Yar, Podol, the Old Great Synagogue, International Solomon University, houses where Sholem Aleichem, Golda Meir and other world known personalities of Jewish culture lived, Podil – the district densely populated by the Jews. Overnight. Day 3: Kyiv – Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyi – Zhytomyr – Berdichev Breakfast. Departure to Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyi – the native town of Sholom Aleichem. Visiting the writer's museum. Transfer to Zhytomyr. Visiting old Jewish quarter and synagogue. Departure to Berdichev. Accommodation in the hotel. Overnight. Day 4: Berdichev – Vinnytsia – Chernivtsi Breakfast. Panoramic city tour including old Jewish quarter, mausoleum St tsadik Levi Itskhak, synagogue, jewish cemetery. Transfer to Vinnytsia. Visiting the main jewish places and synagogue. Departure to Chernivtsi. Accommodation in the hotel. Overnight. Day 5: Chernivtsi Breakfast. Chernivtsi is a wonderful city is spread out at the foot of Carpathian Mountains, on the picturesque hills of the Prut River. It fascinates with its eclectic architecture, rich cultural heritage and the spider-web like labyrinth of ancient European streets and squares. Accomodation in the hotel. Panoramic city tour including St. Nicolas Cathedral, Holy Virgin Nativity Church. Visit to the University - the former residence of Bukovinian metropolitans. Visiting Memorial site of Jewish victims of the World War II, Paul Tselan and Joseph Schmidt memorial places, Diaspora Museum, Jewish cultural society named after Shteinberg and the Jewish school – the first one in Ukraine. Overnight. Day 6: Chernivtsi – Sadgora – Lviv Breakfast. Departure to Sadgora – a holy place for Khassid pilgrims from Eastern Europe. Visiting Rabbinate, old Jewish cemetery, the former Residence of Jewish Tsaddicks, the grave of miracle maker rabbi Israel Freedman. Transfer to Lviv. Accommodation in the hotel. Overnight. Day 7: Lviv Visiting the Jewish sites in Lviv: former ghetto, acting Synagogue, jewish street, the former Synagogue "Golden Rose", railway station Klepariv from which the Jews were sent to concentration camps moved to Germany during the last war, old Jewish cemetery, Yanivskyi cemetery – the place of Jewish mass murder. Overnight. Day 8: Lviv Breakfast. Free time or optional visit. Transfer to airport for your flight back home.
