Approaching to the fortress, you will see 40-meters defense walls that protected the complex from land attacks, surrounded by earthen moat. Many historical movies were filmed in the Khotyn Castle, including “The Three Musketeers” and “Taras Bulba”. Moreover, an annual festival “The Battle of the Nations” takes place in the Fortress, during which people from all over the world come to participate in the reconstruction of the historic events.
